PRE-SESSION STUDY REQUIREMENTS AND ASSESSMENT
BEFORE Sessions 2-8, you will be required to READ and COMPLETE this Study Manual including any note writing, drawing and explorations (where possible).
During the face-to-face session time there will be an opportunity to discuss the material in the Study Manual and ask questions on any aspects that were not clear.
The bulk of the face-to-face session time will then be devoted to more open experiential Body Mapping and Alexander Technique work as a large group.
For those undertaking the full teacher training course as well as guests, working on the Body Mapping Study Manual using the free time in the first hour when you are not having a private lesson, going through the detailed practical explorations described outlined in the manual would be an ideal way to spend that free time. du. } DISCUSS points may be good starting points for conversations with fellow trainees.
In order to be awarded a certificate of completion for the Body Mapping unit you should complete the exercises in the manual. In addition there will be a short written exam.
TERMINOLOGY
Throughout this manual anatomical names i.e. clavicles are used primarily with common terms i.e. collarbones sometimes given in brackets. It is assumed learners undertaking this unit have prior knowledge of structural anatomy or are currently studying anatomy.
